Executive Pedestal Desk in the G&G Style
A Greene and Greene Desk

30 1/8" x 34" x 74 3/4"
Mahogany Ebony
$10,500

one of three pierced tsuba shaped wire-ways

This piece is a spin-off of my Aurora Table Desk. Both designs are mine but borrow inspiration from Greene and Greene as well as others.
The Bottom two drawers will accommodate either letter or legal files. There are 3 pierced inlaid ebony tsubas in the top, which serve as wire ways. Tsubas came in many shapes. Charles Greene had a collection of tsubas. This particular tsuba shape can was used often in Greene and Greene furniture especially in the Gamble House.

The "straps" are a little used and not widely known Greene and Greene detail from the Letter Case for the Living Room table of the Ford House.
The drawer pulls are a James Krenov inspired detail.

This piece and companion pieces can be custom designed to suit client needs.
